FileMixer / Merge files
Merge CSV and Excel files into one
Add as many files as you like. FileMixer stacks their rows into one table and lines up the columns by name, even when the files list them in a different order.
Your files stay on your device. FileMixer opens them inside this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. How we know
1 Add your files
2 Choose how to merge
3 Check the merged file and download
How to use it
- Choose or drop your files. You can add more later, and remove any with the × button.
- Leave “Match columns by name” on if the files share column names. Turn it off to line up columns by position instead, for files without a header row.
- Check “Add a Source file column” if you need to know which file each row came from.
- Check the preview, pick CSV, Excel or JSON, and download.

Questions
What happens when the files have different columns?
Every column from every file is kept. A row from a file that lacks a column gets a blank cell there. The note above the preview tells you when this happens.
Can I combine sheets from one workbook?
Yes. Add the workbook and check “Use every sheet of each Excel file”. All its sheets are stacked into one table.
Can I keep each file on its own sheet instead?
Choose “One Excel workbook, each file on its own sheet”. You get a single .xlsx with one tab per file, named after the file.
How big a file can it handle?
Files of a few hundred thousand rows work in a normal laptop browser. The work happens in your computer's memory, so a phone or an older machine slows down sooner. A 50,000-row file takes a second or two.
