Your files
When you choose or drop a file, your browser reads it from your disk into the page's memory. The tools work on it there, in a background thread of the same page, and the result is saved straight to your Downloads folder. No file, row or cell is sent to us or to anyone else. When you close the tab, the data is gone.
How we make sure
- The page can't send data. Every page is served with a Content Security Policy that sets
connect-src 'none'. That stops the page from making any network request from script: no uploads, no tracking calls, no beacons. The file engine runs under its own policy, which allows it to load only the spreadsheet library from this site. - No third parties. No analytics, no ads, no fonts or scripts from other sites. Everything the page needs comes from filemixer.com.
- We test it. Before each release we run every tool with real files in an automated browser that records all network traffic, and check that nothing is sent.
Check it yourself
Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac), go to the Network tab, and use a tool. You'll see the page's own files load, and nothing go out when you add your file. You can also disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded: the tools keep working.
What the host logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it handles basic request data to deliver pages and stop attacks: your IP address, the page address, browser type and time. We don't add tracking to this, and we don't sell or share it.
Cookies and storage
FileMixer sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
When you contact us
If you email, call or text, we keep your message and contact details to reply and, for custom work, to do the job. We don't add you to a mailing list. Ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Children
The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
