FileMixer / CSV to Excel
Convert CSV to Excel (XLSX)
Turn a CSV into a real .xlsx workbook. Accents come through, numbers become numbers, and IDs with leading zeros stay as typed.
Your files stay on your device. FileMixer opens them inside this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. How we know

How to use it
- Add your CSV. Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe separators are detected, and so is the text encoding.
- Check the preview: if the columns look right, the file was read correctly.
- Keep “Excel (.xlsx)” selected and download.
Questions
Why convert instead of opening the CSV in Excel?
Excel guesses when it opens a CSV. It drops leading zeros from ZIP codes and IDs, turns long numbers like card or tracking numbers into 1.23E+15, and may garble accents. The converted .xlsx keeps these as text.
Can I put several CSV files into one workbook?
Yes, with the merge tool: choose “One Excel workbook, each file on its own sheet”.
How big a file can it handle?
Files of a few hundred thousand rows work in a normal laptop browser. The work happens in your computer's memory, so a phone or an older machine slows down sooner. A 50,000-row file takes a second or two.
