FileMixer / JSON to Excel
Convert JSON to Excel (XLSX)
Open an API export or a database dump in Excel. Each record becomes a row, and nested fields get their own columns.
Your files stay on your device. FileMixer opens them inside this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. How we know

How to use it
- Add a .json file holding a list of records.
- Check the columns in the preview.
- Keep “Excel (.xlsx)” selected and download.
Questions
How are nested objects handled?
They are flattened: {"address": {"city": "Tampa"}} becomes a column called “address.city”. Lists inside a record are kept as JSON text in one cell.
How big a file can it handle?
Files of a few hundred thousand rows work in a normal laptop browser. The work happens in your computer's memory, so a phone or an older machine slows down sooner. A 50,000-row file takes a second or two.
